Why ? Who else was you expecting to see.

That's actually an interesting question because it has a number of levels. At the simple level the light strikes you hits a mirror and is reflected into you eye.

The more difficult questions are:

a) Why is light reflected from the silver or aluminium coating on the back of the mirror?

b) Why do all the light "rays" not get jumbled into a total mess as they pass through the glass in front of the mirror ( that is why is glass transparent?)

Maybe fast barry would like to answer these?
