ive just found the answer to the lowest, and for anyone listening to key 103 comp, the met office just cost me a place in the draw!!

38.5 �C at Brogdale near Faversham (Kent), 10 August 2003

-27.2 �C at Braemar, Grampian, 10 January 1982 and 11 February 1895 and at Altnaharra, Highland, 30 December 1995
