Can working in an environment containing a lot of electrical equipment be detrimental to health? Can it cause cancer and has that definitely been established?
Workers in power stations work for decades near conductors carrying currents tens of thousands of times higher than you are ever likely to encounter in normal life. No effect on the health of thew workers has ever been detected. There is some evidence that magnetic fields may speed up the healing of wounds and the repair of broken bones but this is I believe anecdotal, so no proof yet either way.
