tut, asking for trouble, where's the tradition, where's the conformity, it's going to the dogs
My decorations consist of a piece of tinsel (with integrated battery-powered lights!) around my computer monitor, a pair of miniature Christmas trees (with fibre-optic lighting) on the shelf above the monitor and a small illuminated plastic snowman (with changing colours) next to the monitor. That's a total cost £3 from pound shops! They'll probably stay there until around New Year's Day.
Not a lover of Christmas, So no decs up so none to take down. Roll on January. Before you ask I don't celebrate New Year either.
Mine went up stupidly early and came down on the 23rd because my Nonna passed away that day.
I've taken some of my cards down when dusting. But I'll take the tree down on the 6th along with the wreath and garland around the staircase. Not much tradition left nowadays. Although noticed there are a lot of houses that have the 'icicle effect' hanging from their guttering all the year round.
Didn't put many up this year so i'll do the 5 minute take down on the 6th
I usually leave mine up until the 6th, superstition I suppose.
>>>Before you ask I don't celebrate New Year either????

Jools Holland's Hootennany (with a glass or two of something alcoholic) should be compulsory!

;-)
I'm in a dark place Chris. Enough said.
MrAsk and me will be watching Jools Holland's Hootenay.

You ok Jesa?
I'll take the cards down next week. I didn't bother with decs, seems pointless when there's only me at home.
jools holland should be avoided at new years, he's dull.
Ours always used to come down on Hogmanay for the New Years party. Mum was always nervous that some drunk would knock the tree over!!
Its the 6th of january for me too.
AYG. I'm nearly okay, not brill though.
Usually on the 6th
Vodkancoke sorry about your Nonna, bad start to Christmas.
Jeza sorry you are in a dark place, somehow always seems worse when everyone is jolly ((HUG))

Vodka ((HUG)) too ♥
We have a party for New Year so always leave them up until then, but they'll be down by the 6th.
We keep ours up until the very last minute on 6th and reluctantly take them down only because we have to! They cheer the house up, we love to see the twinkling lights on both trees (in lounge and hall) and round the arch between the lounge and dining room. We also have them on our small "mantelpiece" of the wall gas fire. We also have red berry lights outside in a bush and around the front door. Are we unusual to love Christmas lights?
