They closed the Britannia Bridge to high sided vehicles this afternoon, and a few lorry drivers ignored the warning and one has overturned. My poor daughter in law, along with lots of other people have been stuck in the queue it's caused for getting on 3 hours! We had one last week too; that took 7 hours to clear! Grrrr
Season's Greetings, Horseshoes.......we have a road near me which goes across a weak bridge. For the last few years no one has agreed on who is responsible for repairs so barriers were put in place to narrow the road to stop large vehicles driving across. Signs are in place well before the barriers to alert drivers of large vehicles.
I have stopped using it because I get fed up sitting behind a lorry driver furiously breathing in in an attempt to squeeze his lorry through a much too narrow gap...no sense....☺
Oops I've just seen where I've posted this! I was wondering about all your strange replies. You're NAUGHTY! Thank you, she's home safely. 4 hrs to travel @ 15 miles. And yes, they've arrested the driver. I think they should have dangled him off the bridge for an hour.
