Had no idea I was in Christmas. Supposed just to be in Chatterbank.
But daughter and I do have a Christmas Shelf. We start it in October and contribute £5 a week each to buy stuff for Christmas. Tins, frozen food, other food that won't go off, crackers, family board game for Boxing Day, whatever.
It's a chain I'm not familiar with called Cote Brasserie. There was a complimentary flatbread with onions and goats cheese then I had prawns in tomato and croutons to start. A really rare steak, sliced and laid on a wooden board like you see on Great British menu with fine cut chips and then vanilla ice-cream with hot chocolate sauce. A couple of G&Ts. I can't complain.
It really was very nice. Went with the 'in-laws' who were telling us about their GP ringing them and giving them a dementia test over the phone. They had to recite the months of the year backwards! Not heard of that service before.
