Cinderella, but I won't be going. Child is grown up now and OH has the job of taking his grandchildren. Will you be going to see Alladin, SandyRoe?
Haven't got a clue. I have seen a panto since primary school.

I'll not be going either. Last show I saw in a theatre was Art and that was a few years ago.
Never been at a panto and wont be going after what I heard happen a panto some years ago . Damned unsavoury ,don't ask me .
Pantomime is absolutely fundamental to my Christmas. Without it the world stops turning and all that's left is a plate of sprouts. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but its my job and I love it. Peter Pan for us and followed by an Aladdin the week afterwards.

Weecalf, you're among friends here and it will go no further. What happened?
Mini Boo went to watch Aladdin last week with school.
Aladdin is a fab panto - think we've got Cinderella in Dundee this year so maybe head for Edinburgh - better cast methinks.
We've got Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood at our local theatre(double bubble) 'starring' Dr Karl Kennedy from neighbours. The Aussie actors seem to like being in panto.
MrG took our daughter to a panto when she was four or five....she came home with a long face and whispered to me.....Please don't let Dad make me go to another one of those......

So she won't be heading home to see Aladdin....x
Peter Pan with the Hoff and Christopher Biggins....there is also an adult version in the evening [the mind boggles, lol!]
I love panto but my grandson is only two, so not quite old enough yet. Oh no he's not! (Sorry)
Me and the other half loved going to pantomimes with my daughter when she was little...just to embarrass her...by hissing and booing etc...
Snow White at Richmond Theatre which should be good

We've got Cinderella (which looks as if it might be best for the little ones) at one theatre
https://apps.ipswich.gov.uk/PEO/show_events_list.asp
and a rock & roll version of Beauty & the Beast (possibly better for older kids) at the other:
http://www.wolseytheatre.co.uk/shows/beauty-and-the-beast/
(Ipswich actually has several other theatres but they're the main two and, as far as I know, the only ones with panto).
At one time panto used to have big name national stars. I remember seeing Jimmy Clitheroe, Arthur Askey, Eve Boswell, Terry Scott and Hugh Lloyd, the Beverley Sisters (yes, I am that old) to name but a few. Not so much these days.
Going on Saturday to see our local Song Shop put on Snow White. Taking both daughters and 3 of the grandkids. We go every year, think eldest grandkids wants to take part next year.
