Why on earth does Christmas merit a special section on this site? Are we also going to have one for Easter, Ramadan, Divali etc etc etc?

You know, I feel really sorry for the Eds. There were requests for a special catagory for Christmas, so as to keep all things Christmassy from littering up the other catagories. So they put one in, and now someone moans. They just can't win, can they?

Why not ask the Ed for a moaning section? Whats wrong with a Xmas section?

why shouldn't we have a christmas section???? Its a big even in our calender and there are loads of questions that will be asked no doubt and at least they will all be together instead of all over the place. Where is the problem with that? I dont get it.!
I dont particularly like the sub sections but i do think this one has a place, albeit temporary!

Patricia H - I am one of those 'singletons' and you are so right, this gives me a place to express my feelings etc, although I think being being single is no excuse to ignore Xmas - rather embrace it, have done for 3 years now!!!!!! PS - what decs are in this year, colours etc ?

Sorry no idea whats in for colour schemes i put up what i like in colours i like, saw an awful lime green christmas tree in B & Q last night , i wouldnt even have it given to me for free ! ... : )

Well I was doing some Christmas shopping on Oxford Street earlier today - and it seems that silver, black, purple, shocking pink and white are all v popular. Think rococo, velour, stags heads, chandeliers - all very over the top and great fun : )

i dont mind christmas but why do we see christmas stock in september/october, and in february we see easter eggs, it really got on my nerves when i was in the retail industry

Christmas IS the main event of the Christain year Figi tho' there's no actual proof that Christ was born in December,likewise we celebrate Easter without actual knowledge of the exact day of his ressurection. I l like this section,well done Ed I say on taking notice of those who asked for a Xmas thread:-))

I'm really pleased to see this catagory for "CHRISTMAS" as I'm sure it's alot of people's favourite time of year and it will be "as said" by PatriciaH, there will be people who will be on their own and will benefit from this section to have a chat and so on over the holiday period. X X X :-)

Stop being so bl00dy miserable - if you dont like it you dont have to view this section. Plenty others to chose from.
