I'm looking forward to Christmas but not to January 1st because I foolishly offered to do the New Years dinner this year and now I'm cooking for ten people aged between 4 and 85!
I don't mind the day itself and the eating and the not working but mostly the eating.
I just hate the long frantic run up to the actual day. And work colleagues trying to jolly one up and saying bah humbug when you screech "no more effing carols or the radio gets it"
i love christmas eve when all the shops are shut, pressies are wrapped, kids asleep, then i have the loveliest glass of wine by the fire and watch its a wonderful life..its heaven on toast:)
p.s im one of those freaky ppl who puts the tree up in october, but i have a friend who has had his tree up constantly for six years,so whateva makes you happy i say:)
