As far as Christmas decorations go, I usually manage a piece of tinsel around my computer monitor. It will typically be put into place on about December 29th and removed on December 30th.
Every year, I tell myself that I'll display the Christmas cards people send to me - and every year they simply get put into a pile on the dresser. (Last year's pile is still there).
Christmas starts at the beginning of the one decent programme that's on TV over Christmas. (I'm not thinking of anything in particular but, between all of the channels, they usually manage to air just one watchable programme). When that programme ends, so does Christmas.
Bah! Humbug!

Of course it's not Christmas yet - has nobody ever told you it's the 25th December? I'm right with Buenochico and before anyone says "Why do you come on this site?" I'll say that I do it so that those of you who would like christmas all year round know that there are just as many of us out there who absolutely loathe it and just want to hibernate until the whole razzmatazz has gone away and normal lefe can resume.
I could be your worst nightmare Chris. :o)
I'm the type of person who loves Christmas.... HOLD ON, don't stop reading just yet.
I used to love Christmas in the sence of those few days leading up to it where we'd have a think about the things our family members and close friends would love to find wrapped up under their tree on Christmas morning, followed by a wonderfully cooked Christmas dinner, the afternoon watching a bit of tv together, then games till we had our turkey sandwiches for supper.
I really miss the days of putting lots of thought into buying gifts, wrapping them up and making a big effort to write a special message in christmas cards. These days it's hurry, hurry, hurry.... I want this, I want that ...you've only spent 1000 so far, is that it? (not that I have - yet!)
The magic's gone for me thanks to Christmas now being brought forward to November, January sales mid December and Easter eggs on the shelves by the 1st of February.
Why are we in such a hurry?
Christmas is just one big competition!

I've always loved Christmas :-)
To me it's all about the kids, and I've got to admit it was getting a bit like "is that it?" as my eldest child grew up and basically couldn't be bothered to get out of bed for her prezzies :-(
Now however i've a 2 year old and it's beginning to be a magical time again- can't wait for Crimble morning!!!!
