Is it me or doesn't it feel Christmassy yet. There doesn't seem to be a lot of Christmas theme programmes on yet. Anyone know if anything on today to make me feel its on the way.

I did write my cards last night but I just feel like thats a job done. Don't like this non Christmassy feeling!!

i think its hard wthout snow, snow angels, snowmen, a white world, makes it feel christmassy, how about xmas parties, that would work, maybe get some mistletoe and kiss all your fave ladies/men. get yourself a choccy advent calendar, make mulled wine, see a xmas movie, theres a few on now i think. just a few suggestions. merry christmas.
the weather doesnt help either, our trees are still covered in leaves!
I didnt feel christmassy, even though by 1st december i am like a big kid, but i have my tree up now, and the pressies are wrapped and underneath, doesnt look that festive in the day, but i get a lovely christmassy feeling in the evening when the lights are on, especially seeing my 2 month old gazing at the tree

Thanks devilwoman and boobesque (now thats something I never thought I would ever say he he!)

I will do my utmost today to find a Christmas movie, go out and buy some mincepies, put icing sugar on them to look like snow and put my tree up later on when it gets dark so that lights will look great.

Think the main reason is the pants weather. Give us some nice crispy cold and sunny weather or a little bit of snow and all would be fab I think.

Thanks both I will shake myself into Christmas!!! :o)
I agree with you about TV seems strangely un-festive.They seem to re-run Christmas specials in the Summer! And where is jason and the Argonauts!?
Cold and bright here on the South coast

So far have found Christmas episode of Friends on 12.34 channel 4 - the one with the holiday armadillo!!
Oliver is on 1645 on channel 5 - kind of Christmassy!
QVC have christmas gift ideas at 16.00.
Oh and 1130 UKTV food Christmas Lunch Live.

Better than nothing!
I'm going to cheat and watch the rugby! Oh Nigellas Xmas and Songs of Praise, two more for the list!
I for you find too much crap on that refers to Xmas. You only have to turn the tv on & it`s ads for xmas stuff. Other channels are just as bad with ref to xmas progs. Even the music channels are playing xmas songs ALL the time. And as for going out shopping........
Make your home into your own little Christmas, get a christmas cd or some carols and put all your decorations up and watch a Christmas movie. All the music channels on freeview seem to be christmas song crazy at the mo :)

Bribe the neighbours kids to come round and sing you christmas carols and get people round for a mulled wine and mince pies fest to help with the decorations and watch the movie.

Get some holly and christmas candles and if you've got a real fire put it on.

Know what you mean though, i'm going for a wander round the fab christmas markets later in Manchester. Why not have a trip up here as it's lovely and Christmassy, the train runs every hour from Cardiff direct to Manchester, stay for the evening and go on the big wheel when the city is all lit up, you can go iceskating in picadilly gardens on the outdoor rink and wander round the christmas markets and then go to Albert square at night for a Gluewein and bratwurst or other yummy things and some mini pancakes with cream and chocolate sauce and you can get some gorgeous presents.
I wasn't feeling very Christmassy either Athley, but we've just popped into the loft & brought down the dec's, the big tree for the lounge & the little tree for the dining room ('twas my husband's from a little boy & is 52 years old now)!

We've just put a row of clear twinkling lights along the top of the garage & mingled them down through the passion flower at the side (still flowering)! Although it was bitterly cold outside, it was worth doing & looks really lovely now.

We're just going to have lunch, then I shall get stuck into writing the rest of the cards out - have already posted all the air mails, thank goodness!

Hope you'll soon be feeling in a festive mood too. Take care.
Saturday late night christmas shoping in the center of town.. loads of ppl wrapped up wearing wooly hats and think coats with the amazing lights over head and fairy lights in shop windows and buskers singing carols.. spending loads of money on you'r self and others.. best way i get christmasy..

ps Merry Christmas marvinparvin
that is easy forget it altogether it is just a waste of time and money and one big con
I'm getting more Christmassy every day. Actually put some deccies up, but am being very lazy. Not done our tree yet, it's sitting there still with the wrapping gauze thingy round it. Looks sort of nice and minimalist, so might just leave it!

I'm enjoying putting up a little each day. I don't feel like it's a load of hard work, and it's giving me a chance to look round and decide what will look nice and where.

I haven't been shopping yet, either. Are they playing Christmas songs non-stop yet as I haven't really noticed any? (I'm in Liverpool)
