sticky labels

Is anyone being driven to distraction due to labels on gifts that appear to be stuck down with superglue! I seem to spend ages just pick, pick, picking them off and then they leave such a mess. It infuritates me so much! WHY do they do it to us??????????

Definitely! I started wrapping my pressies last night - loads of tatty bits of price stickers. Most annoying!

I complained to Next about this once though and they sent me a �10 voucher - might be worth a try!

Many times Ive thought leave the damn sticky labels on..And I cant!! Ive ruined many a good record/book/cd cover! I find it infuriating when it sayson the sticky label things like contains the single bla bla bla or the biggest smash etc.Then I know before I start to rip it off i will damage the cover..But theres always that chance ( slight) it will come off in one piece!

I will try and peel them off if it goes off whole good, if it leaves sticky stuff on the item i will pad it with the sticky label I had just taken off as the glue on the label will adhere to the left over glue and pull it off, also try rolled up cellotape.

often it the label will not come off or just looks like a tricky one - (taking it off will make it look worse) I will use a thick marker to put a fat line through the price. Or I will find an xmas sticky gift tag ang stick it over.

I just have to cope...it is hard to sleep I must admit as I am the type of person who prefers to sit all night trying to get a label off something than leave it on, put at time I have to admit defeat..

Try using a hairdryer, the heat melts the glue!

i leave the stickers on.. why buy a gift for someone and keep it a secret how much it costs ??

if i had my way ide have everything priced on the box...

it saves us getting ripped of at christmas and shows how much we actualy save in the sales !!!!

Funkymoped, if i spent more on gifts than i actually do, then i would gladly leave the price label on, as it is, i am a very thrifty shopper who loves as bargain!

I hope none of my family use this site after that admission
