We clear up (mum gets to put her feet up at this point!) and then all sit down together and open presents. Then some of us will go out for a walk (normally me, my dad, brother and grandfather). Come home and have a sleep and then Whoosh, before we know it (and despite protests), mum has laid the table again!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't be nosey,
Sorry about that maggie. Have a lovely Christmas whatever you do.
We also tend to the walking thing but by this stage it's more of a slow waddle.
A good walk before the light fades, at the same time peeping into other peoples' windows if the curtainsarn't drawn and seeing all them all slouched on their sofas fast asleep with the TV blazing .!
One year we all went on the park! It was great fun seeing as we had all had a few drinks!!! This year we will probably just go for a leisurely strooll before starting the evenings entertainment! Thats us having a few ?? drinks, lots of noisy chatter and hopefully a few games.
Walk the dog by the river and feed the ducks, swans and Canada geese
yeah watch tv, NOT THE QUEENS SPEECH.
I think I must be in the minority (along with Barmaid) because we open our presents in the afternoon. We go to church in the morning (not my personal choice-it's also my dad's birthday!!), come home, get our glad rags on and have lunch. We have pudding and cheese and biscuits etc etc and then at around 3 or 4 perhaps, open the christmas presents. Most of the people I know open their presents in the morning then spend the rest of the day watching TV and chilling out, but isn't that what boxing day is for??
i take the tree down and thank the lord its over!!

Poopy. You can't take the tree down on Christmas Day surely.
The dog and I will go to the beach and both get our feet wet.
My poor elderly hound died last Wednesday, so I wont be able to take my best friend to the beach after Xmas dinner anymore, but I will go with a couple of friends for a stroll in the fresh air...its a must!
