It is in other parts of the world
It's a midwinter festival, so midwinter would seem to be the ideal time.
However on the other side of the world it IS in the summer of course. Arguably it is they who should change :-)

Perhaps a move to Aussie would be a good idea.
Mid Summer at Xmas time in Australia !!
We said the same thing y/day! Would love to have Xmas in the sunshine.

It is hard to arrange family and friends visits when the weather may be harsh.
You canny have it in summer for goodness sakes....no child should have to look at Santa in shorts, socks n jesus sandals. *Tuts

Thanks pusskin, I was just cotemplating the planned visits and wondering if the weather would be favourable.
To be fair though Tommy, they'd probably find it more difficult to visit if you were in Australia.

I shall just hope for the best that there will be not much snow around.
Nigeria is a little closer to home and warm all year round.

I had a lovely Xmas in Perth Australia 10 yrs? ago.
It was briliant, not like us lot freezing to death lol
