mine usually comes down new years day or earlier get a big bunch of spring flowers so place doesn't feel so bare

Once New year is over I feel it's starting to look out of date but usually wait till following weekend to take them down but leave the crib as the wise men arrive on the 6th (Epiphany)... I'm not a religious person but it's tradition. However, in France street lights are up until end of January due to Epiphany parties (gallettes des Rois) and those stupid Santas that half the population have over here climbing into windows or up spouts linger even into March. I could quite happily go round shooting them all. Anybody who comes to France at Xmastime will know what I mean!!

Ive started taking things down bit by bit, then it doesnt look so bare when its all down. The tree is usually last to come down. I think that by this time tomorrow I will have had enough of it all anyway and want to get back to normal

There's nothing worse than dusty Christmas trimmings. I've picked up all my cards and put them in a bag for recycling. What a waste of money but if it gives someone pleasure that's the main thing.
