Hiya Dris. I've not seen any more up but it really does annoy me when you get those Christmas cling on's who can't seem to accept it's over. Stick to the 12 day rule is what I say!!
yes! I can understand why some people might take longer to take down out door decorations if they are up high but around the corner from my house there is a house with a massive LED star on the window, there are a load of christmas cards on the window sill as well.
I wouldnt mind but I couldnt wait to take mine down because I spent weeks constantly picking them up over and over again re arraging them because a light breeze knocked them all over!
With you on that -I had no tome this year for the 'festive' season but I went along with it.
I took my cards down on the 1st Jan -the day after we came back from Spain.
Didnt have decorations up either but that was just this year -it was just today when we were passing houses sill with the cards up WTF? -and even worse the lovely house with the humongouse Santa and Sleigh -I was gobsmacked and i thought -saddo -truthfully.
I can understand why outdoor decorations are still up. It's been raining and blowing a gale in these parts for at least a week and nobody probably wants to risk their life being blown of fa ladder trying to take them down. But I agree that to still have them lit up is pretty naff. Once Boxing Day is over I usually have a strong desire to remove the Christmas tree and the cards and move on but some people like to hang onto their festive spirit.
