I was really concerned that it might be frightening for him so made him a really nice bed in a quiet part of the house etc etc. All he did was whine and cry..... he wasn't afraid, he just wanted to join the party. We let him out of his'prison' and he had a whale of a time. All the fuss and attention, not to mention loads of food scraps. He sat by our side while the fireworks were going off (not by force, he was free to go anywhere in the house at any time!!!) and was quite happy, not at all distressed in any way.
This year we are having another party, Charlie even has his own costume this year. He's BatDog.
And before all you 'do-gooders' start preaching what an unfit dog owner I am... don't bother. My dog is very fit, healthy and loved more than most kids you know.... He's one of the family and hates being left out. He knows he is safe with us and thereforehas no danger or fear.
