Christmas present
4 Answers
Any ideas for a Xmas present for someone (a woman)who's just gone through a divorce? She doesn't want to 'do' Christmas but we're going to offer her something anyway. Would toiletries be OK? Financially, she's going to be worse off so maybe something else would be more appropriate but don't think she'd appreciate gift tokens. Hope someone who has been in this situation can help!

It would be easy to say get something practical because of her financial position, but she is not going to be able to afford to spend much on herself, so get toiletries, chocolates, a nice plant, a subscription to a magazine or theatre perhaps. Try to take her out for a meal or something and try to contact her on Christmas Day to let her know you are thinking of her.
how about something like this, you could even go with her
