bit last minute but am going to visit a friend and her 20 month old daughter on Saturday. Was trying to think of a halloween gift to take that was not sweeties/chocolate. I also feel that by Saturday she will have a costume so that is no good. Other thought is a Halloween book but just wondered if anyone else had any better ideas? thanks in advance.

one of those plastic pumpkins for putting the trick or treat sweets in...she will think it is just a really cute handbag... you could put a cuddly black toy cat in it to keep the theme going

thats a good idea - she is a very girly girl and loves hand bags, might even manage to find a halloween type necklace or hair clasp. Thanks
Try Wilko or Poundland - they've got tons.
Like rowan's idea, Sainsburys had really nice little bags for putting the sweets in, they were made from fabric rather than plastic and they were in the shape of pumkins and cauldrons - very cute and you could put a little treat inside it - they were quite small, probably a good size for that age.
