about 15 years ago my wife bought me what I think are called afghan slippers.They have just worn out and I am trying to replace them.
They are like VERY thick socks ,highly decorated, with ties at the top and leather on the soles.Wonderful.
Anybody any ideas where I might get replacements?

Camden market, go to the stables market area and there are a few afghani rug stalls who sell them.

oo sound cosy!..have you tried a market in cumbria or any shops like Marks & Spencers? they do loads of sifferent types of slippers.
