What to wear?

What should i wear to meet a prospective new employer? i've been told it's not an interview as such more just an informal meeting so they can see what i'm all about. i want to create a good impression without going too over the top so what should i wear? help!

Emma - I think you should wear something along the lines of what you would wear for an interview but dress it down slightly. E.g. You could wear a trouser suit but without the jacket. A nice blouse tucked into your trousers and some high heeled boots/shoes would look smart but not too formal. If I were you I would rather go in over dressed as it won't be as uncomfortable as being under dressed. As you say it would create a good impression. You could always accessorise to make the outfit a little less formal.

I think even if it is an informal chat, you should wear what you would to a normal interview. As long as you are wearing something you feel confortable in! First impressions always count!! Most importantly, be yourself! Good Luck...!! xx
