What are the differences between replica handbags and original

I was interested in buying a Louis Vuitton handbag, and I took a look in the internet. I found a couple of websites offering replica handbags. What are the main differences between replica bags and originals?

they are usually not as good quality as they are just basically 'fakes'. also i wouldnt suggest buying them off a website, ive read a few complaints from people on different websites saying they have been totally ripped off by these kinds of websites.
my suggestion would be to either save up and get the real thing, or if your going on holiday soon to anywhere like spain or maybe america get some there as apparently there are loads of replica designer bags out there.
a few people i work with have got Gucci and Prada replica bags in places like greece & tunisia and they look just like the real thing.

They are generally of lower quality. I bought a fake Fendi in Chinatown in NY and it looked perfect compared to others in real shops, but only lasted a few months (I paid about �15 for it so I didnt mind), but the bit that attached the strap to the bag "gave" in a short time
