I know some people wear their late mothers wedding band around their neck. What do you think? Is this 'cool' or tacky or are you indifferent. What do you think of someone that does this?

I'm not aware of this. I've seen women wearing their mothers' rings on their right hand, but not round their necks. People in jobs where you can't wear jewellery on your hands sometimes wear their own wedding ring on a chain during the day.

I don't think it's cool or tacky, just a personal preference, but I wouldn't do it myself.
never really thought about it. I used to wear an old ring on my necklace, was just a broekn one from an ex which I'd put on there when lost stone from it. I dont find it tacky, its a sentimental thing to them, its quite sweet
I think it would be a nice gesture, particularly if your mum's ring doesn't fit or it's not suitable to wear on your finger. In my humble opinion it is neither cool or tacky.
How do you know that the people you have seen wearing these rings round their necks have lost their mothers and how do you know that the rings round their necks are indeed their late mothers rings? I would wear my late mothers wedding ring anywhere I wanted and wouldn;t even consider anyone else's opnion on it, except she was buried with it still on her wedding finger and so I don;t wear it,
