I intend to get the eldest son and heir a slow cooker for Christmas mainly for casseroles and pasta dishes - but are there ones that multi function that anyone can recommend
Thanks in anticipation
its depends on your budget. The Instant Pot is really good but very big so needs kitchen space and upper end for price. there is also a new one called the Ninja Foodi that air ffries as well but again its pretty big and costs around 180 quid.
CrockPot is the best slow cooker I think. Avoid multi function cookers as I've found they are only average at everything they say they'll do. If he's on his own or with a small family up to a 3.5 litre would be ideal, nothing bigger. A good easy to use cookbook on slow cooking would be an ideal addition. I'm a huge slow cooker fan and have had many variations over the years but CrockPot never disappoints.
I am really pleased with my Instant pot. Its a good slow cooker and pressure cooker and you can saute stuff in it too. I do think with the multi function machines, you get what you pay for.
