diamond stud earings
Or go for sapphires,
Any piece of jewellery with sapphires, will be her 'something blue'.....
Also, it makes a nice change from the blue garter.
scary stuff!! I get married in eight weeks and logged on to see what you guy thought i should get for my fiancee for our wedding day cause i had no idea what you buy a guy for that!!! its also MrButtons's birthday the day after so i want it to be something extra special
your marrying a man called mr, buttons ? id say a present is the least of your problems.

Are you minted or skinted? Not being rude, but if we have an idea of the budget for this gift, we can get cracking (or I will - I lurve shopping).
Bit more info too chicken, how old is she, hair/eye colour, personal taste, ie big and glam, or discrete classical
i dont want to take over Shazbangs question but im looking for a 'minted' value gift idea
What is a 'minted' value gift idea?
Just state your budget, and I will look you up some good ideas.... you decide yourself if it is value!
If you buy 'designer' brands, in my opinion you are not getting good quality or value...... but girls love them.

I imagine what you are looking for is something unique that she will keep for ever, and maybe pass on to your children, as a family heirloom.

A few ideas for you to consider:
Any original Art Deco pieces (glass) or porcelain
Art Deco jewellery

Herend fishnet animals (Princess Diana collected these and they were left to her god-children)

An original piece of Rene Lalique glass

A large swarovski crystal figure, theypenguins or the eagle are modern in shape and would look in either modern or traditional home

Many more ideas, but you may need to start your own thread buttons.

Hopefully shazbang has found this answer useful too.

Thanks Miss Random, doesn't matter what it costs, she's worth every penny. She's 28, auburn hair, blue eyes, doesnt really wear jewellry much except for engagement ring and earrings but loves to accessorize when she's goin out. she has a thing for ice (dont ask, she munches it like its goin outta fashion) so something along those lines that she could keep forever or that was engraved or something but obviously cant be real ice as it would just melt.

buttons - how bout some engraved cufflinks for your fella?
OMG!

Sorry buttons, thought you were a man,.... so was giving you girl-gifty-ideas!

I'll try again.
But first I want to know of shazbang that it is okay to use his thread?
Shaz....... please will that be ok?

Do you have a garden?
It is my birthday in a couple of days and my Sister in USA has just sent me a rose named after me.
I will treasure it always. They register the rose in the name of the person who it is named after.
You also get a certificate with it.
You can do this online.
Or, what about naming a star after your wife.
Once again, the registry of this is kept in the vaults in Switzerland and you also get the certificates.
Just a couple of ideas!

cruella, great idea, must check that one out. was thinking of maybe adopting a dolphin or something like for her as well.

Miss Random - absolutely no problem for you using this thread. btw, im a girl too :-)
Hi shazbang
Juts a quick posting to wish you and your partner every happiness in your life together.
Hi shazbang,
Ooops sorry, ...

Had an idea,
How about a painting of her (or both of you).

Check out your local Art Colleges and find someone who's style of art appeals (modern/traditional/impressionism etc)
It could be pastels, oils, pen and ink........

You could do it on the 'quiet' by providing them with photos, and suggest your own background, (me thinking glaciers).

Don't mean to sound a 'party-pooper' but I wouldn't really appreciate a star or dolphin........... all said and done, it's only a piece of paper that will get shoved in a door after a while!
Unless your local zoo has a sponsorship scheme, that way you can go and visit your animal and see where your money has gone.

Ideally you want something to last forever, so something tangeable like jewellery, art, keepsake, glass etc.

Just had another 'good idea'!!! (god I'm brilliant tonight)
How about a rough diamond?
They just look like a dirty bit of ice.................
........... but it could come with the promise that for say, 10th wedding anniversary it could be cut and set into whatever she wants!

Will keep giving this thought.................
.............. love present shopping!

Please let me know when you've decided though.
Sorry forgot to check over answer before posting....
'certificate will get shoved in a DRAWER or somewhere.... doh

wow miss random, fab idea with the painting! i def have to check that one out. thanks! :-)
Just wanted to clarify that when a rose is named after you, it is the only one of it's kind in the world.
You also get delivery of the named rose, not just a certificate. Hope this makes it clearer for you.
All the best anyway.
have a look on
