Can you guess what my boyfriend has bought me PLEASE!

My boyfriend has bought me a present and wont tell me what it is. However, he has slipped up on a few clues and is now adament I know what it is! I can't wait til my birthday so please can you help me... The clues are, it comes in many colours, it couldn't be bought in manchester city centre so had to order it and collect it from somewhere, he bought a roll of wrapping paper but it's too big to wrap - he'd bought a roll of wrapping paper but it wasn't enough (his exact words were "it's too big to fill" - if that is another clue I don't know) and when I said about bringing it home on the train and tube (in London) he mentioned about it being really heavy...

WHAT COULD IT BE?!?!?
