Can anyone please suggest a gift I could get my dad for fathers day? i'm really stumped for ideas. He dosn't drink :( sweet things are limited as he is diabetic and hates diabetic chocs, he does read books but has more than waterstones!!! and has a very large collection of CD's. he is 60 yrs old likes his garden but there is only so much you can buy for the garden, he's also a bit of a foodie. i'm on a budget (along with everyone in this country at the moment ; ) so am looking to spend something around 20. any suggestion greatly received

Hi coke - Subscription to a 'foodie' magazine? xxx
Sounds like my Dad! Me and my bro used to buy him nice Whiskey but he has enough to float a ship as he only has a tot a week! Does your Dad like BBQ - ing. Perhaps something along those lines as hopefully the season isn't far away. Shall be watching this with interest - I am at a loss what to get mine.

Good try but i'm afraid my dad's a big kid just like me when it comes to special days we likes to open prezzies. and he already knows how much we all love him anyway. thanx for the suggestion though :)
Is your dad interested in wildlife? Prehaps a birdbox or bat box.? Or gardening mags.? a year subscription to a magazine of what ever he is interested in. I know a gardening mag is something I like to read but never buy it for myself.Think you can pay for just 6 months for some;
If he's a foodie are you near a city with a Selfridges or Harvey Nics or somewhere with a nice deli you could get him some special treats from?

Does he like particular types of food and cooking you could get him som especial cooking stuff or more authentic ingredients or a good cookbook.

Has he got something he can play his music on in the garden to combine the two?

If all else fails, how about a nice family picture blown up and framed nicely for him.
