Gift for 40 year old woman

Any ideas for something special for a 40 year old woman.
No hot air balloon rides but something to keep and treasure.
I can only think of something from Tiffany's.

On the same lines, Lnks of London do some lovely jewellery. The sweetie bracelet is gorgeous and you can buy charms to put on it too. Very tasteful and pretty.

How about a Pandora bracelet. These bracelets are absolutely gorgeous and as they are a type of charm bracelet they can be built up gradually. You can buy all different types of charms/spacers/beads etc and your friend will be able to decide which colour scheme to go with plus she will always be easy to buy for as long as the bracelet isnt full !! why not collect photos of her life and put them in a special album and you could add anything that she has done as a child-say, a painting or poem etc and get her friends to write something about her and put it all in a special book.

What a lovely idea. Incidentally when each of my 3 children reached 21 I gave them an album, with all the photo's I could spare, of their lives up to 21. I might still do this.
