bra wire breaking

Is it because they're cheap or ill-fitting or both?

that the wire comes out of the bra. I think it's always been on the end, nearest the armpit and if it starts to come out in the middle of the day it can dig into my armpit/ side and be quite annoying.

Has anyone else got experience of this?

This has happened to quite a few of my bras whether they be from M&S, Tesco or anywhere else. I don't buy underwired anymore.

My question would be - why do women not sew extra stitches at the end of the wires to stop this happening? My mrs used to do that before she stopped wearing underwired.

Molly, go to M&S and get a proper filling. Economising on bras at your age could be something you regret in later life (and yes, I too have had the springloaded wire in the armpit...)
