Size 14 isn't big. Its just bigger than the stupid shapeless skinnies we have to hear about. Go ahead and enjoy wearing one.
It's just my opinion but I have only ever found maxi dresses look really good on tall, slim ladies. I'm a size 14 and 5'2 and I wouldn't wear one.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't though.

exactly what i was thinkin milly, i was going to get one for my holiday wouldnt dream of wearing one in uk lol
I actually think Maxi dresses look better on ladies with curves, they can make skinny girls look skinnier (me), also Size 14 is not big.
Ah, that's different then. I actually might consider wearing one if I was on holiday somewhere hot. For some reason I find it acceptable to wear clothes on holiday that I wouldn't dream of wearing at home.

But anyway, you should just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
I'm not very little but I have just bought two long cotton dresses for going on holiday - very comfy and much more flattering than skimpy clothing.
size 14 is not big for goodness sake!!!
Nobody said size 14 was big. It's just not skinny. Unless you 7'9.
Well I don't think 14 is big either. Maybe you only think you're seeing skinny girls in them because maxi dresses are very flattering and make you look slimmer.
What woofgang says. There are different types which flatter different body shapes, go and try a few on, I bet you buy one.
