I bought a dress on ebay 2 weeks ago, supposed to be sent to me 2nd class recorded. Seller sent me an message, a few days after saying . Hope I recieve the dress because shes had trouble with royal mail. This got me suspicious, and wondering ,has she really sent it at all because i did get it for a cheap price.
So estimated time was up on Tuesday and still no dress. She has offered refund. Which is fine, but I asked her for tracking number and she cant find it. Obviously I cant prove it but I dont think she sent it at all.
So I will just have to take refund, theres nothing else I can do. But warn others in the feedback.

yes
I think this happens a lot, if they've sold something and then realise thay can get more for it. I bought a dress from a business on Ebay, it never arrived and they sent refund immediately, didn't offer to send a replacement, low and behold the dress was listed again but for a higher price.

Did you inform ebay after you seen it listed again,

Should I let it go and accept refund or take it further ? Just so annoying, if a seller wants more money for it why dont they put it a (Buy it now).
Not everyone is trying to diddle you - although I don't know what she'd mean about "trouble with Royal Mail" - you post it, or you don't. I don't always have a tracking number if I don't mail by a recorded service, but I do always ask for a free proof of posting certificatel

If you are suspicious, I would accept the refund straight away, but make sure she refunds your postage paid as well.
I'd leave it and take the full refund, life's too short! I have people buy stuff off me and say they haven't received it (when I have posted it with proof of posting which doesn't seem to mean much) and I just have to suck it up and give the refund.
Trouble is fc, give bad feedback and they do the same to you unless they've already done yours.
OH bought a limited edition ornament recently on Ebay with winning bid of £150. After waiting over a week for it to be delivered he got an email off the seller stating that it had been damaged and offering him a choice of two alternatives. He wasn't very happy but chose one which then took over ten days to arrive. I was livid with him because I do not think the replacement item is worth £150. I would rather he had asked for a refund and then bid on the second item if he had wanted it. I feel as he was conned but that's his fault and I am keeping a close eye on the seller to see if the original item rears its head again.
yeah, just give her bad feedback so other are warned! i try to check feedback before i buy items - though sometimes the deal is just too good and worth a risk if paying through paypal.... xx

No I always wait till i receive item and then give feedback. Seller hasnt left any feedback for me yet, even though I paid straight away after i won auction.
Ebay can be a bit if a mine field for buyers and sellers alike. I have today had a message from someone telling me the lid of a teapot I sold doesnt fit properly and had 6 chips on it. I know it was fine when I sent itandI pack extremely well and even damage wouldnt account for the lid no longer fitting! My suspision is that they had a similar item and bought mine to take the good lid then return the item with their lid for a full refund. Drives me mad because I know they will leave bad feedback for me if I dont agree to their demands.

I did check sellers feedback. There was only one bad one, saying item not received. which I didnt think was so bad out of hundreds or so.

Yes I suppose ive been lucky so far, with 3 years of ebaying buying and never had a problem. Left a similar blog on ebay forum, and got told to report the seller, but dont know whether I could be bothered with all the hassle.
"Seller hasnt left any feedback for me yet, even though I paid straight away after i won auction."

I buy and sell on eBay and I don't leave feedback for my buyers until I know they've received the item - I never leave it as soon as they pay, there is still a long way to go in the deal at that point.
TBH it could be just RM cocking things up.

If after a week you havent received the item the seller should refund you and then sort it between themselves and the RM.

If the seller is dragging their feet just make a claim through paypal
