I want to buy a male friend what he dearly wants for Xmas: a good quality thick (as opposed to flimsy) striped scarf, preferably by a known designer. He likes soccer-scarf-type stripes, but doesn't actually want a soccer scarf if that makes sense. Please provide any links. Thank you.

Hmm ... the online collection is a bit "Christmassy".

If you have a Jack Wills store near you, they usually have scarves with chunky stripes ... like a university or club scarf.
