formal attire

ive got my leaving ball at university in 3weeks and i dont know what to wear. do you think i should stick to a tux or does anybody hav any different suggestions. any help is much appreciated thanks :p

I reckon a tux or suit of some kind is the best bet.  If you want to stand out then put some work in before hand, go around a few rental places and find something more exciting, maybe a white tux, something brightly coloured or 'sixties' style.  If there is a group of lads going with you, maybe you could all get similar style suits... would be a talking point and I'm sure a hit with the ladies (speaking as one!).  It all depends on your personality I think!

There's nothing like a formal occasion to make a guy seek out the smallest trace amount of scottish blood in him...of course I mean you could always go for a kilt.  They aren't just for scots, and do look pretty damn smart.  I can guarentee at least one lady will ask if you're wearing anything underneath it.

Ooo, or tophat and tailcoat.  Now that'd be cool ^_^

you could go for the suit but maybe with a gangster twist with a hat or something, or have a nice flower in your pocket like they used to in the 40's and stuff. but you cant cant wrong with a suit or tux, very sexy x

Just go for a normal tux you can't go wrong and it will look so smart or if you want something less formal go for a normal suit with a white shirt and black tie OR black shirt and black tie OR you could try changing the shoes and the tie to go with each other just be dareing go for caramel shoes and caramel tie- tres bon, or pink shoes and tie it will look fab lol :) go for it u'll be stunning! :) do enjoy! xxx
