Idea beds
21 Answers
Had my current bed for about 10 years and think its time for an upgrade. I've seen some in idea that I like but they are considerably cheaper than other beds I've seen. Does anyone have one or have any idea of the quality (assuming its assembled well in the first place)?

Might look around the other bed places again.
we have the malm one I think for our spare room and it's fine - you need to add in the cost of the bases (slats) and mattress as well as the frame. They are also not standard size so you have to get the mattress there though you can get away with normal bedding. Ours isn't used every day but seems sturdy enough. The advantage it has for us is that we are tall so their king is a bit longer than normal though slightly narrower. We always use the spare when we have guests to save them sharing a bathroom with the kids.
just checked - the one we have is this one and they do include the slats:

Will be looking for a bed soon ourselves but it won't be one with slats not keen on them.If you don't need storage draws in the base then you should pick one up at a reasonable price, always try the bed and mattress out in the store, I don't buy one without laying on them first you will see they are marked up one to five for soft to hard can't remember which way round but don't be afraid to try them they should have foot covers on the mattress
