British Coins No Longer in Circulation
3 Answers
I collect British coins just for fun. I am looking for a £2 1995 Nations United for Peace and a 50p 1992-1993 Single European Market. Both are heavier than the current versions and I am assuming they are no longer in circulation but don't seem to be able to find this out searching the Internet. Does anybody know? Sorry if this is in the wrong category but I can't find one that seems to fit.

What do you mean by "no longer in circulation"? they are still legal tender but I doubt many people would use them in tescos.

spudqueen - thanks for the link. This is a site I use quite often but having scoured it cannot find what I'm looking for. ChuckFickens - I suppose I mean legal tender. I have a sample of every other £2 coin and have found all the ones from 1997 onwards in my change but those which predate 1997 I have bought on ebay.
