The quality of Andrex nose-dived some years ago when they transferred production from the UK to eastern Europe. Up to then it had been my bog-roll of choice. Now you say it's gone downhill even more! These days I buy Cushelle from Lidl and stock up on their 24-roll packs, (but only when they're on special offer!). Complain to Andrex. Include a sample plus send them the cardboard inner, so they can do a production number check). You'll no doubt get a standard reply, but they're more than likely to send you a few vouchers too!
There are two sides to a toilet roll, can anyone explain why we only ever use one side when with the economy in the state it is in we should all try to economise.
All toilet rolls come from a bad batch. They know you have no option to buy a decent quality one so they all sell the 'break apart easy and rub bits off its surface onto you' type; and if you don't like it, you have no option but to lump it. One wonders what millenium we are in when we still use pulped wood to wipe this stuff off, and then have the cheek to call the result, "clean".
I stopped buying Andrex a couple of years ago when I realised how much dust was coming off the roll as it unravelled - the loo rack looked really dusty and the paper was disintegrating. We buy ours from Farm Foods now, £4 for 2 nine-packs - much more satisfactory.
