I'm looking for a cheap, second-hand parent-facing buggy/pushchair for when I'm baby sitting.
I've looked on Ebay and Gumtree, but they're very few and far between.
The cheap ones I've found are too far away from me to collect.
Is there anywhere else I should be looking? I have also looked on Freecycle and local charity shops.

it seems odd as most prams/buggies/pushchairs these days sem to have to option of parent facing.
How big is the child?
Are you on Facebook? If so, see if there any local selling groups. The ones I joined are full of child stuff/pushchairs. Have a look on Gumtree too.
Oh, sorry. I saw Ebay in your post, my eyes missed Gumtree.
what about net mums? they have local buy/sell sections

Someone told me pushchairs that are able to face parents are very rare these days, and that is what I seem to be finding. I could try net mums and Facebook, thanks. Do I have to join net mums?
how old/big is the child?

20 months, Bednobs. I've just seen Pre-loved; is that any good?
I do congratulate you on deciding to have a pushchair with the child facing you. When my two daughters were small, I used to talk to them and sing to them face to face, it was lovely. It worries me so much when I see tiny babies facing oncoming people, away from their mother. I wrote to the Womens Institute about this a couple of years ago, and my letter was printed in the magazine. Some time later there was a campaign in the Times advising people to have parent facing pushchairs. Coincidence?? I do hope you find one.

Thank you. I feel very strongly about it too. It must be so frightening being faced with so many stranger's knees and dog's faces, and the person you love most in the world is nowhere to be seen. I've always loved talking to babies facing me in their buggies and prams, chatting away pointing to flowers and birds. And the babies pointing to things that they find interesting too; like sweet wrappers and bicycles :-)
