This is an urgent appeal on behalf of black and dark coloured tops and t-shirts. Every year thousands are defaced, and discarded before their time. Deodorant marks are a serious problem people, and it needs to be addressed quickly. Studies show that at least 7 in 10 people will be affected by this issue at some point in their lives* .Last week I attempted to save my best long sleeved black tshirt (£3 from Tesco) the price doesn't matter, the issue was I soaked it vinegar and alcohol (the white vinegar and the non-drinkable variety of booze . . . Naturally) but sadly these marks would not budge. 

I have tried many varieties of deodorant (including ones claiming to increase the life span of my clothing) but they have all fallen short on their "invisible" claims . . . . That, or I just end up smelling bad by 3pm. 

Please repost this in your status if you have been affected . . . . Oh sorry wrong site!

Anyway, any recommendations people?

I can't say I've had a problem with Dove solid deodorant that is marketed as invisible or LBD friendly.

Thanks Tony. I thought nelly was buying something from the alcohol section of Tesco and wasting it. Nelly have you tried Vanish or any of the other stain removers.

I use Dove roll on, no problems at all

Yes tried nail varnish remover, and sadly I have found that Dove Invisible dry roll on only makes good on one of its promises, that it is indeed invisible, sadly I definitely dont stay dry with it!

Have you tried the solid one Nelly? It might be worth a try, it certainly suits me and my clothes.

Nelly - I didnt say nail varnish remover - I said Vanish.

Why have I never suffered from underarm wetness or perspiration there. Am I unique. I still use deodorant. How silly am I!!

Nelly, turn your T-shirt out side in and wash it in salt warm water.

Try Mitchum deodorant, nelly - never had a white mark from that, I use the roll-on.
