I'm considering venturing outside London for my shopping one of these days, but which, out of these famous shopping centres provide the best experience in terms of both shopping and eating?

Or is there any better yet lesser known shopping centres out there in the South East?

Bluewater definately

much bigger, better, posher !

Hi dave_c...I live nearer to Bluewater but also go to Lakeside too as it isn't that much further......generally I prefer Bluewater...It does have a lot more shops and I feel that the actual centre is probabaly a bit nicer (probabaly because it's newer and it's non smoking)....I think if I was going to travel out and go to one of them and I hadn't of been to either before then I would be far more impressed with Bluewater.  Lakeside is good though and I am happy having a plod round there too but for the whole experience I'd pick BW...Just a tip, if you are going on a Saturday to Bluewater....then I would go as early as you can as you'll get the most from it and by the afternoon it can sometimes get packed.   Happy shopping!
Definitely Bluewater, has all the same shops as Lakeside (except Debenhams) plus a huge John Lewis. Eating places are nicer at Bluewater as well. I go to both regularly and much prefer Bluewater. Although it must be said it will do more damage to your credit card.
be sure not to wear a hoodie though.............
Definitely Bluewater,no contest!
Yes, I have to agree with Bluewater...much nicer.
yep .... Bluewater is the place to go, love it.
