Apologies if I'm being ignorant and please don't think I'm being 'funny', but do men's straighteners have to be different from women's? The only point of difference I could think of is that they may be narrower, to compensate for their shorter hair, but then again, plenty of women have short hair too - and plenty of men have long hair.

I'd be interested to learn what the difference is actually, because I'm getting the sneaky feeling that it's all a gimmick to cash in on people. No, there must be a kosher explanation; it's just me being cynical, as usual!

Apparantly GHD do men's ones (Dmsjps - these are just ultra thin ones!)...as I know somebody who has them...however, I got some Marc Jacobs ones from Boots - special offer - �40 - they are now double that (or maybe �70) - I really like them and they are not too big (wide) and my boyf uses them...

Too be fair, I really dont think there would be any different between male and female hair straighteners, If they did, they would only be doing it to make the 'sell' to males. My Ex boyfriend used to use mine - cant see why he'd need male ones!

Maybe lili meant mens as in...narrow straighteners, not necessarily made for men. GHD do the "mini styler" and im sure there are many other ultra slim straighteners out there.
