Wedding Dress for the non-traditional

I have started to look for my 'wedding dress' recently and have decided I do not want a typical wedding dress (big, white, weddingy). I would like something knee length, possibly cream coloured but would like it to be something that I could wear again (more relaxed than your typical wedding dress). I like the vintage style that is so popular right now but I am struggling to find anything online or on the high street.

Can anyone suggest shops/brands for me to check out for a reasonably priced dress that's nice but wearable?!

I am still scouring vintage shops but have yet to find what I want.

Thanks GF

Hello Craft - I do keep popping in. I guess the problem with true vintage is that you need a true vintage body shape =)
Hello Anne, No I didn't get my dress from this site. I didn't wear a dress!! I wore palazzo pants and a top!! Thanks for your good wishes.

DIL had sleeves in her dress, the dresses are adaptable.

Greenfly, DIL isn't a girly girl - that was the first time I have seen her in a dress and healed shoes!!
Had they been sick?
Thanks I think you have just sorted my bridesmaids.

One tip Greedy check out bridesmaid ranges as well lots cheaper and less structured. I will be using an Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dress as it was so simple Light in the box are pretty good I had a wedding jacket from them and the quality was very good for the money
Ha, ha Craft!! It just clicked!! Am a bit slow in me old age!!!
I'm doing the same at the moment! I have found the most likely candidates on asos marketplace, dresses from china with room for tailoring and customising.

Good luck finding the one for you, a dress that is! X
How about making it yourself? You know what you want, plenty of patterns available, could combine two or three.

I was also looking for a site that offers high-quality fabrics at a reasonable price for my daughter's wedding. I had spent a lot of time searching the sites and came to a site that has the latest design and varieties of bridal dress fabrics. That site is known to offer wedding dresses. I have bought a wedding gown for my princess. You can check the latest varieties of fabrics at https://tissura.com/articles/bridal-fabrics
