Tesco Direct!
6 Answers
I bought a microwave off Tesco Direct and collected it from my local shop last night.....it doesnt work - one of the push button switches is faulty.
So, a couple of hours ago and packed it all up in the box again and took it back! Only to be told by the woman, who immediately was quite rude in saying 'what have I done to it?' She told me that I would have to order a replacement, which is what I was going to do anyway however, she checked the stock, and it was now 'out of stock' Great! I asked if they had it in the store or any other, but they didnt and she didnt have any numbers of any other local stores! I asked for my money back. She refused because I had paid partly by Tesco Clubcard Exchange, A gift Card and the balance was on my debit card.
She took my details & said I have 28 days to exchange it. She said she would check for me regularly to see if it had come back in stock and phone me. She insisted I took the microwave back home with me.
When I got home I went straight on Tesco Direct and guess what? It was in stock!! I rang, who I thought was my local store, but was in fact Tesco Direct. She ordered the replacement AND organised a collection for the faulty one. Just had an email and its being delivered at 7am tomorrow morning!
Does anyone think its worth me writing a letter of complaint about the customer service? I was/am so annoyed!

Email the CEO of Tesco, Philip Clarke - [email protected]
He will pass it to his exec team, but having done the same previously, it is treated as a higher priority than messing around with customer services.

Update.....delivered new microwave last Saturday but driver refused to collect faulty one! One week later and its still here! So.... Tesco wouldn't refund my money but they are quite happy for me to have 2 microwaves here both worth £100 each, one of which I haven't paid for!!
