Why? Who is sad enough to get stuff for Christmas in the middle of October. Obviously they have no life. Also the way they shove day to day normal produce out of the way so you cant find it in order to make for for all the Xmas rubbish, it's so very annoying.

Yes, and I'm buying it. With only two paydays to Christmas, you get it while it's there. Quality Street big tins half price in Waitrose today, go up to full price next Monday. No a question of no life, more a question of bag a bargain.
We (at co op) have had ours in for a good few weeks now.

We've not shoved any day to day stuff out the way either, we have designated areas for Xmas stuff- for example we took off all the summer BBQ stuff (those sold really well this year....) for them.
You're slow Dave, it's been out for at least a month.
when do you do your Christmas shopping, then, dave?
Also in tesco they put it in the dedicated seasonal isle which means nothing gets pushed out for it and I know which isle to avoid.
Make way for the Easter Eggs!!!
They have Halloween Easter Eggs in Morrisons..... :-)
Plus im same as Boxy, I start Crimble shopping ASAP after summer holidays that I can, only way I can afford it. It's also Mini Boo's birthday in December so it's a VERY expensive time for me. I for one am grateful that im given the opportunity to get 'em early.

Plus like Dotty, if you're paid monthly, there's only so many pay days :-)
After the end of September, the amount of Birthday Cards on display diminishes as space is given over to Christmas Cards!
I'm ok with shops having xmas good in early so long as they're not in your face when you walk in the door...and I don't need to see any decorations or hear loud xmas muzak yet, thanks.
killjoy ^

I adore Christmas and start to get giddy about it right about...well from now on really!
For those on benefits or pensions, it's helpful to buy one or two things a week or fortnight.
The young alba's birthday is in December, and like B00, it's blooming expensive.
FAO Boxtops What price are the big tins of Quality Street tins in waitrose. ?
I think dave knows the stuff's been there for weeks, he's just been gathering a good head of steam. :)
their website says a tenner for 1.212kg guillie.
there was some Christmas stuff in shops late september, doesn't give one a chance of having a summer, let alone autumn, i truly hate it
yeah cause summer's been a cracker hasn't it? LOL
I would be more surprised to read you actually liked something dave ;)
yes B00 - bah! humbug! :)
Actually I don't dislike xmas I bought some presents a few weeks ago, I just don't want it all too soon.

btw B00, do you still use the old email address you gave to me & 'them others'? :)
Thank you alba.:) I'll check in Asda tomorrow, usually there is a price check the following day , and if Waitrose is cheaper, then Asda give 10% back on the overall shopping.
