http://www.thewedgwoodvisitorcentre.com/pyv_directions.asp I also found this - but that's in Stoke-on-Trent, so toecrusher must have another option for you - when that receipt comes to light! :-)
Hi D Kelly
There is a Wedgwood seconds Shop at King Street, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. Phone 01782 316161.
've been there, bought lots of stuff there, including Edme, and I've just finished a mug of tea in one of the mugs from there. Andt hey are definitely seconds - you can see some sort of flaw in most of them. Tiny but there if you look. And really cheap. I think this mug cost 1 pound. (Sorry no pound sign on my keyboard). They are open 7 days but you should call and check for hours.
And they do destroy a lot - heartbreaking to see it outside and sometimes you can hear it being broken - but there's still lots in the shop. And I believe they will ship worldwide.

I posted the following in another forum to try get an answer>
The plate is cream Edme with a colourful flower pattern(not the conway) and a fluted edge
On the back it is clearly marked with (no.17 Test), it also has a no.22 lower down in smudged pink ink.
It has the Wedgwood impressed mark although a little rough. Underneath the mark are (sor 8, B or R, 51 or 57 difficult to make out). All the marks are under the glaze.
According to my bro it's rare not nessasarily old, because apparently anything other than perfect never left the factory. Everything else had to be smashed up so it would never get into circulation.
