I need to contact Amazon regarding an electrical item that has arrived without an instruction manual or guarantee. I cannot find any link on the Amazon website to a phone number or an email address so I can communicate with them. Any ideas please?
if you go into your account and click on the order you will usually find a link to 'report a problem'. The retailer of the product you bought is the first port of call, not Amazon. Amazon will however act as mediator if there is a problem but you must approach the retailer first.
Thanks jno. I love the way that Amazon says contact the manufacture direct. If the contract is with the retailer they should sort it. A cop out for Amazon.
Fortunately I know how to use a toaster now, thanks to Snags^ ;o). I just need a guarantee.
Sibton. If we boycotted all the multinationals that are using our tax system to their advantage with clever accountants (including UK companies!) then I am afraid we would never buy anything ever again!! ;o)
Sunny Dave. Tried your 0800 no. successfully. Guarantee problem is fine. I will phone manufacturer to see if there is a more comprehensive instruction leaflet/manual than Amazon appear to have sent.
Snags, if you are looking in. The toast was successful. I shall now throw out my long toasting fork.
Lottie, depends what it is but a lot of electrical items don't come with instruction manuals anymore. Quite often you have to go online to download the instructions if you want them.
Thanks for that. I have, however, just phoned the manufacturer (3M) and the only instructions are the simple leaflet that was sent with the item (air filtration unit). They also confirmed I have a two year guarantee wtih them even though I bought it through Amazon (much cheaper)
AB is great when you have a real question, as well as for CB, etc ;o)
