Scratch cards seem a bit... er... tacky. Sorry, but that's just my personal opinion.
How about something like cufflinks? Or a nice pen?

Minature bottles of whiskey?

For my brother's wedding we bought all the male guests a solid silver wine stopper similar to this http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/546362978/Stainless-steel-alloy-red-wine-wine-plug-fresh-wine-bottle-stoppers-plug.jpg
little cones of old fashioned sweeties.
At my nephews wedding all the guests had a box of Sugared Almonds, no messing, each box had the Bride & Grooms name & date of wedding on. No headache, no stress, everyone had the same. Kept the cost down too.

Keep it simple maybe handcrafted chocolates for everyone all the same. Two or three chocs per person.
Being at your wedding is all the favour required - why do you have to bribe them to attend ?

Or is this yet another modern acquisitive trend.
Canary I'm with you. Why do the guests need a 'favour'? Either sweets (the sugared almonds are traditional but you could do something more modern) or nothing at all. A couple of years ago Mr Spudqueen and I had the pleasure of attending 6 weddings in one year. Each couple must have spent hours finalising the details of their wedding but to be honest by the end they were all very samey. Each one had chairs covered in fabric (with bows at the back) in colours which matched the bridesmaids dresses/mens cravats/flowers. Each table was named (all with a theme), there were balloons on all the tables along with confetti. The wedding planners are all just working to a set of tick boxes. Do what makes you happy (and what you can afford), not what the planner wants you to conform to!
All the very best to both of you by the way!
If you do anything like sugared almonds, you have to give an odd number (don't ask me why). Oh, and when you and himself cut the cake, don't take the knife out, let someone else do it or the luck will come out of the cake! (I did this too.)
I am strongly in the 'no favours' corner, but if you must 2 or 3 good chocolates in more than enough.

Blerdy stupid idea. *grump*
Are you on Pinterest? There was a thing about saving money at a wedding (didn't save it, sorry), all made perfect sense without sounding mean and miserly.
Men need no favours. They should be grateful that they are invited.
I know someone who gave everyone a disposable camera so they could all take photos of the wedding.
Could you maybe gave out the phone numbers of the bridesmaids?????? Lol
Sorry
Miniatures are popular nowadays as are shot glasses .i also know someone who had Xmas type crackers made with pics and confetti and thank you notes ect
But the new thing now seems to be sweets
You can actually get a sweet cart to attend
So why not get sour sweets made as favours then they can have some macho contest and see who ends up the toughest ???? Lol
