Hillarys Blinds
8 Answers
I have put in an order with the above and confirmed the order the next day. The total was £1125.00. A week or so later I got a text from Hillarys saying if I ordered shortly I would get a discount. I phoned Hillarys and have received the grand sum of £10 off.
Has anyone ordered from Hillarys like this and what discount did you get? I really cant see £10 as much of a carrot and feel if I had not placed an early order the discount would have been more.

Via one of their Agents? In your home?
Did you ask/receive a discount from them in the first place?
My knowledge of Hillary's Blinds is that their Agents fold pretty easily on pricing.
Although you had already ordered, it seems you were still within the 'cooling off' period (14 days i think)
so you could threaten to cancel unless you are convinced you've had a good deal

Maybe the question you have to ask yourself is;
before i received the text, was i happy with the deal?
the £10 for 'existing customer' is a red herring - the price bands the Agents can work within are pretty broad. The more they charge compared with what they pay Hillary's for the product - then the more they make. The more discount they give, the less they make.
If you can compare the price with alternative suppliers of a similar product, that is the only valid yardstick
