At the risk of sounding like a 95 year old, can anyone recommend a good pair of slippers with a decent sole on them?

My feet are freezing!

They look cosy, lyall, but I think I would prefer the boot type. This house is terrible for drafts, and my ankles are chilly too!

(Is it drafts or draughts??)
I wear socks and Birkenstocks around the house and haven't worn slippers for over 20 years, but..........

I've bought quite a lot do stuff from these people and their slippers always looks cosy.....if a tad expensive.

Hi 2sp I get the same ones every year from Primark shoe dept. They make great sturdy slippers. They look like Ugg boots, You can get them in grey black and a tan colour. They cost £5 and last me all winter.
Ugg type boot slippers maybe more what you’re looking for but I kept in mind that you said decent soles.

Who knew there were so many different types of slippers?!

Eccles, they look great, but I think a bit dear for me! I know Santa is coming but I'm sure I've not been that good this year.

Quite like the microwavable type, jno.

Lots to look at, thanks everyone!
Have you lot booked your blue rinses for Xmas yet :-)

Ahh, mazie, much more in my budget!

I think you're right, lyall, need to find Ugg type with a decent sole but that may not be possible!

But if I can get some at only a fiver it won't matter so much if they die after a few months or so.
Primark are fine, and M & S, I get a pair for Christmas or birthdsay every year, and I am usually ready for a new pair by the following year.
I have different microwaveable ones, where you take out rubber soles and heat them for 45 seconds then slip them back (a zip compartment between the inner and outer soles). Heat feet quickly.
carrust, if my feet get cold the hypothermia turns my hair blue naturally
I bought my mother some sheepskin bootees 2 yrs ago...cost me £60-00 though.
