The first time I had lost a lot of weight and needed a new wardrobe, but two week I called on the off chance of an appointment (this was during the week) as I could not find anything in the store.
After discussing what you are looking for, you sit in a nice room drinking coffee and reading a magazine for ten minutes whilst the shopper goes into the store and then comes back with various items to try on. It is much nicer trying on is this room than in a normal changing room.
The last time I just bought three tops and there was no pressure to purchase anything which I said I did not like.
As far as I am aware this is a free service provided by Debenhams. The first time I went, the lady said that she got paid even if I did not buy anything so there was no obligation if I was not happy. I have therefore not tipped, but made sure they knew I appreciated their help. I would certainly go again.
I have also used a Personal shopper in one of the large M & S shops but do not know if they still provide this service. Good Luck.
