I am selling some stuff on Gumtree and I arranged with someone that they were to buy something and they never even turned up they emailed me and told me that something had come up even although they work in town it is bloody infuriating be careful of timewasters on Gumtree when selling things

They never turned up but they emailed you tell you something had come up? I don't think that's time wasting if they've let you know, you don't know how important the reason was and a time waster wouldn't have bothered at all.

This doesn't just happen on gumtree - it happens on every site, small ads in the newspaper and ads on postcards in shop windows.

They emailed you to let you know they couldn't make the collection - that is courteous behaviour!
